We are on the air at the Genre Memphis, your “musical timeline passport,” and we are soaring through time with multi-genre music and a good ole’ meal.

But this transit doesn’t stop with eras, if you take a couple of steps out of the Genre, you will find yourself at their adjacent speakeasy, The Garage: The Cocktail Experience.

Shop Local: Paper & Clay

Owner Brit in her shop

Memphis is overflowing with talented, creative artisans, and one of my favorites to visit is Brit McDaniel, founder and owner of Paper & Clay. Founded in 2013, Paper & Clay is both a modern, handmade ceramics brand, and a cute brick & mortar gift shop located downtown at 535 S. Main Street.

In addition to her own handmade wares, Brit has curated a beautiful gift shop filled with indie brands and products that compliment her Scandinavian + Mid-Century design aesthetic.

Shop Local: Feast & Graze Charcuterie Shop and Cafe

One of Memphis' best charcuterie, cheese, and vegan snack board shop and cafe.

I’ve said many times before that I could survive solely on a charcuterie board, and especially if it’s a specialty board from Feast & Graze

Editor's Note (2/12/24): Feast & Graze can now be found at the Brooks Museum with a Poplar Plaza store coming soon. Photos and some information in this blog may reflect the first location. Be sure to visit their new spot!
