Shop Local: Feast & Graze Charcuterie Shop and Cafe

One of Memphis' best charcuterie, cheese, and vegan snack board shop and cafe.

I’ve said many times before that I could survive solely on a charcuterie board, and especially if it’s a specialty board from Feast & Graze

Editor's Note (2/12/24): Feast & Graze can now be found at the Brooks Museum with a Poplar Plaza store coming soon. Photos and some information in this blog may reflect the first location. Be sure to visit their new spot!

Feast & Graze is local, Black-woman owned company that specializes in luxury grazing boxes, platters and tables for any occasion. Based here in Memphis, all of Feast & Graze’s boards are seasonal and come with fresh, hand-selected foods including but not limited to:

  • artisan cheeses
  • small-batch salami
  • fresh and dried fruits
  • assorted nuts
  • crackers
  • selected spreads like local honey and jellies
  • gourmet chocolates

They offer Vegan-friendly options as well, so their curated boards and tables are perfect for gatherings of 2 to 6 and beyond.

Open since Summer 2019, owner Cristina McCarter initially started Feast & Graze as a delivery and catering company. Thanks to the popularity in all things charcuterie, business grew and this past March they officially opened a storefront Downtown at 55 S S Main Street, Suite 101.

I popped in recently to speak with Cristina about all things Feast & Graze.

Q&A With Cristina McCarter, Owner of Feast & Graze Cheese Board Shop In Downtown Memphis

Why Downtown/Main Street for your location?

We are a part of the Open on Main Initiative through the Downtown Memphis Commission, and it has given us the opportunity to test out our brand as a storefront. We plan to stay downtown now; the community and culture downtown is unmatched. It helps us stay on our toes with creativity.

What do you feel makes Feast & Graze different from other specialty shops/businesses?

We have found our niche in providing luxury cheese and charcuterie graze boxes and more to our customers, the Feast & Graze way. We wanted to focus on that and incorporate our business partners like Cranes Nest Honey, Jackos Pepper Jelly, and Riverside 1844 into whatever we do.

Our menu changes with the seasons to ensure freshness, we have free delivery in Shelby County and we use award-winning artisan products.

What’s your favorite part about owning Feast & Graze?

Creating very structured and healthy work environments. This has not only helped our staff but it’s helped our customers' experiences as well. When I started to look at this like a business and not just something I love to do, it really stuck. It’s a daily challenge, but I accepted this life a long time ago.

Monthly Sunday Brunch In Downtown Memphis At Feast & Graze

Any special events happening that we should know about?

Omg BRUUUUUUNCH! We are hosting Monthly Sunday Brunches and our first one was October 23rd. It’s from 10am - 3pm at our downtown location. We will be making variations of brunch dishes, OUR way and it’s all delicious.

And this isn’t necessarily a special event but I think people need to know these two things… We are open on Mondays AND you can save money by joining our monthly subscription to have a Classic Box for 2, delivered right to your doors.
