The Edge District is on a roll lately, and the newest addition keeps the momentum going: Bar Limina, a cocktail-forward lounge with a focus on collaboration and good vibes.

Bar Limina is the kind of place that feels like it’s been part of the neighborhood for years, even though it’s brand new. It’s got that intentional vibe with every detail thought out, every element connected to the folks around it.

As a non-profit dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship in the greater Memphis area, Epicenter is the hub of innovation in the Delta. Epicenter launched in 2015 as a collaborative effort among key stakeholders in Memphis, including Start Co., the Greater Memphis Chamber, the Memphis Bioworks Foundation, and the Black Business Association of Memphis. These partners shared a common goal: to create a robust and vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem in Memphis that could serve the Mid-South region.  

What better place to yell out “Nuevayolllll” than at Rumba Room, located right on Main Street?!

The Rumba Room is a salsa dancing, latin loving, celebration of culture, located right in downtown Memphis. This late night spot isn’t “just a club.” The Rumba Room's mere existence tap dances throughout the very fabric of Memphis history, with just recently celebrating 17 years last August.

If you’ve ever taken a stroll down Beale Street, you’ve felt the history and the energy. Among the lively bars and music venues, Peoples on Beale stands out as a pool hall with a deep-rooted history and a laid-back, hometown vibe. 

Since 1904, Peoples has been a downtown Memphis staple, moving to its current Beale Street location in 1989.

DeMoir Books & Things, a Black and millennial-owned bookstore, is bringing readers to Downtown Memphis!

The bookstore offers a diverse selection of genres, including works by local authors, Black romance novels, LGBTQ+ stories, and classics such as Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God.

This summer, Kix on Beale returns with four free shows in Handy Park.  All ages are welcome and the shows start each day at 7:30 p.m. 

Whet Thursday is a free after-hours event held at the Metal Museum on the last Thursday of each month from May through September.

Overlooking the Mississippi River, the Metal Museum has one of the most underrated outdoor spaces in Memphis. Whet Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is all about immersing yourself in that space and celebrating the art of metalwork. 

The Metal Museum is the only museum of its kind in the world, by the way. That’s something to be proud of.
