Cooper-Young’s newest restaurant is described as if “Huey’s and Houston’s had a baby” meaning it’s the best of both worlds.

The Public Bistro recently opened in the former Sweetgrass space in Cooper-Young. The restaurant comes from Kate Ashby and Kyle Bankston who also run Knifebird – a cute wine bar just up the street.

When people started posting about this food truck meal I knew I had to give it a try. Not only was it something I've never heard of before but it looked *fire emojis*.

It was my mission a few weeks ago to visit Taco Cat food truck determined to try the Birria Pizza I had seen so many posting about.

Taco Cat, a Mexican food truck as cute as its name, can be found in the parking lot of the Exxon gas station in Cordova (610 N Germantown Pkwy). They have a good little set up with a large shaded canopy and bright colored picnic tables to eat at or take it home to enjoy.
