Day one of the FedEx St. Jude Championship is complete. We walked 10k+ steps to scout out the course for the best eats.
Here are our favorites from the first day but also don't forget to check out our guide on going to the FedEx St. Jude Championship for our tips and more.
1. BBQ Pork Nachos
BBQ nachos from The Commissary are a favorite of mine off and on the course. This is a good one to fuel up on. You'll walk it off easily too. The serving size is good for 2-3 people -- unless you're starving. (Also, I promise the cheese is a plenty. It's just buried)
Where to find it: The Pit at No. 9 tee and No. 8 green (look for the iconic TPC Southwind Silos!)
2. Shishito Peppers
I would have overlooked these if it wasn't for everyone talking about them while waiting in line. These are delicious. The Alabama white sauce that covers it... divine. These aren't very hot for those who aren't fans of heat.
Where to find it: Birdies & Bubbles accessed off No. 16 fairway and enjoy the views of No. 14 green
3. John T Burger
Here's another fantastic one from the Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman. I was prepared to order my favorite course meal the last few years (the Birdie chicken sandwich -- another delicious must-eat) but again I was convinced by the people snacking away on this. Ticer and Hudman have perfected the burger. I have no idea what their secret is but get the burger, guys.

4. Poutine
Pair your burger with fries and opt for the poutine fries covered in pork neck bone gravy, mozzarella, curd, and chili oil. Their hush puppies are also a great option. There's a reason Birdies & Bubbles is a fav of the tournament.

5. Pronto Pup
It's not a true Memphis event without a perfectly mustardy slathered Pronto Pup. No further notes needed.
Where to find it: 18th & Mane situated on No. 18 fairway
I have slight regrets of not popping over to the food stand next to the Maestro Dobel Tequila Deck at 18th & Mane and getting the pimento cheeseburger but you can only eat so much food in a day.
6. It's time for a drink
Now that you've ate your way through TPC Southwind, you deserve a drink. If you're going multiple days or plan to get a few refills, get the tumbler deal. (~$50 after tax) You get a souvenir cup and a slight discount for refills. I still use my 2019 cup almost daily for my coffee.
Where to find it: Drink stands are all around the course but we recommend the air-conditioned Tito's Golf Club at the 18 Green Courtyard. The views of the 18th hole are incredible there.
