I write about what’s going on with Memphis music, food, arts, events, sports, people, and culture. Memphians love Elvis and barbeque with a passion that must be seen to be believed, but there is so much more to this place.

Thanks for posting dog-friendly restaurants! My friends and I will be meeting in Memphis for the first time. We are all women and will have doxies in a stroller. Are all these places in good areas of town? Are there areas to stay out of? Can you recommend hotels. Again, thank you and God bless!

    • Holly Whitfield says:

You’ll be just fine and safe at these spots. Just use common sense like you would anywhere! I’d look into any of the hotels downtown so you can be walking distance to South Main and Beale Street, etc.
