The Greyhound Craft Cocktail Bar In Downtown Memphis

The Greyhound Craft Cocktail Bar In Downtown Memphis

Located on the site of the former Greyhound bus station in the Hilton Garden Inn, this snazzy spot offers craft cocktails with a gin focus, plus a full selection of local beers, wines, and all the other spirits you could want.

It's right across the street from AutoZone Park at 201 Union Avenue.

There's a large selection of gins, whiskeys, craft tonics, and other bells and whistles like smoked cocktails, tableside cocktail mixing, and branded ice. Gin has been all the rage on cocktail menus for a while now, but The Greyhound will be the first "gin bar" in Memphis. I know what you're thinking - I don't like gin - or - I only drink beer - but don't worry, they'll have everything else, too. Including mocktails.

A little background on the bus station: Fred Smith, Sr. opened the Smith Line in 1956, the first bus service from Memphis to Chicago. It was so popular that Greyhound bought out the line, and the location served as a bus station until 2011, when the main Memphis station moved to the airport.

The bar's name comes from that history and The Greyhound drink, a classic cocktail that features gin and grapefruit juice is naturally be the bar's signature drink. There's also a small plates menu in case you get hungry, and you'll be able to order from the full dinner menu of the hotel's restaurant, Seasons. Seasons is open for breakfast, dinner, and evening room service for hotel guests.

A little more about the hotel: The Hilton Garden Inn has 150 rooms, seven floors, plenty of suites, a fitness center, indoor pool, and plenty of meeting and event space.

The Greyhound cocktail bar in downtown Memphis is open Sundays through Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Good catch, Joey! It was supposed to say "Fridays and Saturdays" so I corrected it. Thanks!
