Matthews, who goes by the moniker Don Lifted, shares his artistic talents with Memphis and beyond—artwork, poetry, music, community. Last week he released a new single and music video for the track “The Rope”, followed by a performance at SXSW.

A new walk-through immersive art experience is happening in Memphis this year!
Through October 31, 2022, you can walk through Alice’s Wonderland at the Memphis Botanic Garden! The exhibition includes larger-than-life Alice In Wonderland themed sculptures, including The Red Queen, Alice, The Chess Set, and The Cheshire Cat.
From Ecco and Libro owner Sabine Bachmann comes a new Spanish-inspired tapas bar, Tonica.
Tonica officially opens Thursday, March 3 just up the street from Ecco on Overton Park in a remodeled space that has previously been home to Parrish Grocery, Atomic Tiki, and many, many others before that. Tonica plans to be open Thursdays through Sundays from 4:30 p.m. until midnight, making it a natural pre-dinner or late night spot in midtown.
Kinfolk breakfast food pop-ups have returned! They’ll be slinging biscuits every Saturday and Sunday for the next several weeks in The Pinch District downtown.

Movie maestro Baz Luhrmann (of Moulin Rouge and Romeo + Juliet fame) has released his trailer for the upcoming Elvis movie starring Tom Hanks and Austin Butler.
The film, which was filmed in Australia (that's where Luhrmann is based) will be released on June 24, 2022 in theaters only.
