New Beer Festival: Farm To Tap At Wiseacre Broad Ave.

There’s a new beer festival happening this spring in Memphis!

Farm To Tap is all about connecting Tennessee Brewers and Tennessee farmers, and then showing off those partnerships to the beer-loving public—that’s you!

This event will be on Saturday, April 16 at the Wiseacre taproom on Broad Avenue from noon to 4 p.m. and Early Bird Tickets are $48.53* before March 18. You can use our I Love Memphis code for a $10 discount, though. Just use ILOVEMEMPHIS when you check out here.

*This total includes taxes and fees. After March 16, tickets go up to $60.11.

At Farm To Tap, tickets include unlimited beer samples, a tasting cup, water, entertainment from local DJ Daniel Mathis, and access to farmers, food trucks, and vendors. There are 22 breweries signed up so far, each with three or four beers to offer. See the list below.

I spoke with the organizers for this new festival, and to me it sounds similar to the setup for Cooper Young Beer Fest aka the best beer fest. Ticket sales are limited so lines won’t be out of control, and the emphasis is learning about the unique brews from our state and how farming and farm products can be used.

For example, breweries can use corn, malted grains, and yeast from regional farms, or even fun stuff like local donuts and coffee for their specialty flavored beers; in turn farmers can use spent grain and other brewing byproducts.

Another thing the organizers mentioned is that this event, which is new for 2022, is traveling across the state. They’ve already had Farm To Tap Knoxville and Farm To Tap Nashville is this weekend. So let’s show up on April 16th and do our local beer scene proud!

Get your tickets. Don’t forget code ILOVEMEMPHIS for $10 off.

About Farm To Tap Memphis Beer Fest

From event organizers:

Farm to Tap™ is an initiative of the Tennessee Craft Brewers Guild in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Agriculture. It is dedicated to the awareness, promotion, and advancement of local farm products by craft brewers.

The goal very simply is to have more Tennessee brewers use more local farm products to offer Tennessee consumers even greater choices.

The festival in Memphis will showcase 20+ Guild member breweries from across the state and showcase beers brewed with agricultural products from Tennessee. To top it off there will be farmers, food trucks, vendors, and entertainment.
