Whet Thursday is a free after-hours event held at the Metal Museum on the last Thursday of each month from May through September.
Overlooking the Mississippi River, the Metal Museum has one of the most underrated outdoor spaces in Memphis. Whet Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., is all about immersing yourself in that space and celebrating the art of metalwork.
The Metal Museum is the only museum of its kind in the world, by the way. That’s something to be proud of.

Each Whet Thursday has a different theme but the constant includes live demonstrations by blacksmiths. During each event, people can sip on cocktails and order food from food trucks.
