The Memphis Zoo is one of the top zoos in the country and their biggest fundraiser each year is Zoo Rendezvous! It's June 4 at 7 p.m. and features dozens of local restaurants, free-for-all drinks, and lots of live music and entertainment.

Memphis Zoo Rendezvous Dates and Ticket Information
Memphis Zoo Rendezvous is Saturday, June 4 from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and tickets are $250 per person. At the event, you'll be able to roam select parts of the Zoo and enjoy a smorgasbord of food from local restaurants (partial list here) and drinks from several bars, plus live music on several stages.

Like everything, this event will likely be and feel different in a post-pandemic world. I'm going to share some tips for making the most of this event based on previous years. Just keep in mind things might be different for 2022, but it's still sure to be a super fun time!
- Bring cash to tip bartenders like you would at any event.
- The food lines at the front of the Zoo will be longer because people walk in and go to the first thing they see. Be more strategic than this—walk further in where it's less crowded or determine your path by how much you want to eat there.
- This year's theme is "Eighties" so I expect to see some leg warmers, big hair, and Top Gun sunglasses. Even if you don't dress up on theme, it's a "festive and fun" cocktail attire, or at least cocktail casual.
- It's going to be HOT, though, so keep that in mind.
- You'll also be walking around. There is not a lot of sitting, if any. So keep that in mind when choosing footwear.
- Restaurants will run out of food as the night goes on. Get your money's worth by getting to the event early. Expect folks to start lining up a half hour before doors open.
- Speaking of that, take a look at the restaurant list and map and go to your priorities first. Don't wait until the end to realize that Folk's Folly has already run out of whatever they're serving.
- The animals are asleep. Don't expect to see any. And don't "be the drunken buffoon trying to wake up the flamingoes".

Hi I ❤ Memphis! My favorite thing about the Memphis Zoo is that people of all ages can enjoy spending the day there. Whether you're taking the kiddos to see the animals or going on a day date with your significant other, there is always something fun to see and do. Plus the animals are SUPER cute!

I love the hippo exhibit! I was there when the baby hippo was born and it was so adorable! I also just love the vibe of the whole zoo, it's beautiful!

My favorite thing about the Memphis Zoo is still Cat Country. Even though it's the oldest of the "new" exhibits, it shady meandering walkways and cave-like nooks among the big cat exhibits are always the first place I go. The tigers are especially entertaining, playing and cooling off in the water in their large enclosure. Even asleep the cats are as cute as a housecat and awake they appear powerful and are moving to watch.

Everyone always says it’s lame, but my favorite thing is the petting zoo area! I love all the little ducks/chickens running around, the gardens, and the donkeys are my absolute favorite animal in the entire zoo!

The Memphis zoo is one of my favorite places in all of Memphis! I love going just to be outside and watching the animals! My favorite part about the zoo is that I know they care deeply about their residents! They are so dedicated to the animals. I have sat and talked to the keepers many of times and they love their furry friends! :) I have always wanted to go to zoo rendezvous but have never had the opportunity! :)

I love Memphis Zoo because of it's staff. They are all fabulous, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The animals are a huge plus! I also love that they are upgrading their habitats to better care for their charges.

I love Snow leopards and I’ve been going to the zoo since I was a little girl to see the snow leopards. I still get that excited feeling every time I go to the zoo as I did as a kid. The zoo just keeps getting better and better!

My favorite thing about the zoo is the giraffes. At any angle, you can take a picture with the long neck friends. On a non busy day during the assign hours, you can feed them. I haven’t got to do that yet. It’s on my list. Another fun thing about the zoo is Zoo Lights. It’s just fun to see the lights in a different way during the mist wonderful time of the year.

My favorite part of the zoo is everything about it! I go to the zoo several times a year and I always brag about our great zoo! I’ve compared our zoo to other cities and the Memphis zoo is by far the greatest!! Love our zoo!!❤️❤️❤️

My favorite thing about the zoo is not only the zoo itself and the renowned respect that our zoo has, but the staff at the zoo itself! I’ve had the pleasure of attending several events and getting to know some of the people who make the show run so smoothly and it’s truly amazing! Pancakes with penguins was sooo much fun but watching the keepers interact with the animals is truly inspiring and has led me to continue to donate on a regular basis and suggest to others that we continue to do so. The constant renovations and additions they bring to Memphis as a community is admirable and I’m so happy we have such a hard working force, can’t wait to see the sky walk!!!
