Ed. Note. There's a new basketball team in town, and they're called the Memphis Hustle. Opening weekend is THIS weekend, so get excited! I know I got pumped after reading contributor Austin Crowder's handy guide to the G League team's inaugural season.
One thing I appreciate most about Memphis is that it isn’t trying to be any other place. Sure, Memphis wants to evolve and improve, but it doesn’t want to be Nashville or San Francisco.

The most anticipated University of Memphis Tigers football season yet begins Thursday, August 31st with a home game at the Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks.

Downtown Spring Movie Series 2022

There will be free movies in Court Square this summer in downtown Memphis on Thursdays through June 23rd. Seating opens at 7:30 p.m. and movies start at 8 p.m. There will be food trucks, or you can bring your own food, or grab something from restaurants and shops in Harbor Town. 

Food trucks will be at the events but we also encourage you to stop by your local food favorites in Downtown to grab a bite before the movie or bring it down to-go.
