Where To Go Out And Watch The Memphis Grizzlies

Obviously the best place to watch to Memphis Grizzlies is FedExForum, but if it's an away game or you can't make it—here's where to go out, watch the Grizzlies game, and cheer with other fans!

Click here to see the Grizzlies game schedule or get game tickets.

Bars might close early or change their plans to show the game without notice, may choose not to have sound, etc. Call ahead to confirm!

DOWNTOWN

Max’s Sports Bar

You can always count on Max's to have not just the game on but the sound too. The space is small but they have a lot of TVs spread around and there is additional seating and TVs outside too. Here, every game is a watch party.

The Green Beetle

Memphis' oldest tavern, The Green Beetle, offers a historic atmosphere combined with modern amenities like plenty of TVs for watching sports. It’s a great spot for grabbing a bite and enjoying the game with a laid-back vibe.

Slider Inn

There's no shortage of seating between the outdoor space and indoor bar. The downtown patio has a huge outdoor TV screen perfect for game nights. Plenty of picnic table seatings or hang in one of their cabanas.

Loflin Yard

An underrated spot to catch a game in my opinion with indoor bars and outdoor spaces. They have a ton of TVs outside but for big viewing events, head indoors where they have a few large projector screens. They host watch parties routinely.

Huey's (Multiple Locations)

While not exclusively a sports bar, Huey’s is a Memphis institution with plenty of TVs to catch a game, especially if you’re looking for good burgers and a family-friendly environment. Highly recommend the Poplar East location which recently expanded a huge patio space with TVs.

Additional Downtown Spots:

  • Aldo's
  • Bardog Tavern (21+)
  • Flying Saucer
  • Grind City Brewing Co.
  • Kooky Canuck
  • Local on Main
  • The Genre
  • Ghost River Brewing Co. (both locations)
  • Wiseacre

MIDTOWN + COOPER-YOUNG

Young Avenue Deli (Cooper-Young)

A go-to for Grizzlies fans who love good food and craft beer. With over 30 beers on tap and delicious pub fare, this spot is perfect for grabbing a bite and watching the game. The friendly crowd and ample seating mean you can watch the game from multiple TVs without being cramped.

Railgarten (Midtown)

There is a ton of space at Railgarten whether you want to watch the game inside or in their huge outdoor space. Check ahead in case they're having ticketed live music instead. Railgarten is also known for its chill vibe, so it’s ideal if you want to relax with friends while keeping an eye on the score.

Bayou Bar & Grill (Overton Square)

Bayou may be all things NOLA and Saints on Sundays but it’s also a great place for Saturday football. Really it’s a great spot to catch any NFL game but of course–Saints first. All I need is football, zydeco wings, and a macmosa. Plenty of seating at Bayou too.

Celtic Crossing (Cooper-Young)

While this is also a go-to spot for soccer fans, Celtic Crossing is a great spot to catch Tigers games. They have a fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of TVs and a great outdoor area.

Alex’s Tavern (Midtown)

A Memphis institution since 1953, Alex’s Tavern is one of the city’s oldest and most beloved dive bars and you definitely get that feeling during a football game. Known for its legendary burgers and classic jukebox, this no-frills spot has a charm all its own. The bar features several TVs and a laid-back atmosphere, making it a favorite for locals who appreciate good food, strong drinks, and a true Memphis experience.

TJ Mulligan’s (Multiple Locations)

With several locations around Memphis, TJ Mulligan’s offers a friendly atmosphere, a variety of food and drink options, and multiple screens for catching all the big games. It's a solid choice for a more local, laid-back experience.

Additional Midtown + Cooper-Young Spots:

  • Blue Monkey
  • Huey's
  • Madison Tavern
  • Flip Side
  • The Public Bistro
  • Slider Inn

EAST MEMPHIS

Brookhaven Pub & Grill

Known for its large outdoor patios, Brookhaven is a popular spot for watching games, with multiple screens, good food, and a lively crowd. This is truly one of the best and largest sports bars in Memphis to go to.

Newby's

Newby’s is the college bar you never graduate from. With multiple screens, you should have no problem catching the Grizzlies. They generally have a lot of drink deals throughout the week too.

RP Tracks

While RP Tracks may be known for its college-crowd charm and legendary BBQ tofu nachos, it’s also a solid spot for Grizzlies fans to gather. With affordable drink specials and a casual vibe, this bar is a go-to for fans who want a no-fuss experience but still be surrounded by the energy of game day.

Build your perfect Memphis meal:

I love to eat so if I were to have only one meal left.. I’m going all out. I’d start with an app of Gumbo Fries from Blue City Cafe or Bayou Fries from Chef Tam, wings from Good Fortune or Central’s (honey gold and Jamaican Jerk), potato salad from Fat Larry’s, side of bbq spaghetti from Bar-B-Q Shop, and fried okra from Soul Fish. All paired with a Beale Street Brewing Space Age Sippin’.

Your most memorable Memphis moment:

College GameDay on Beale Street. That was an electric and perfect morning. I was still working in news then and was able to take it in up close and on the stage at some points. The fun and joy of everyone down there that morning is unbeatable.
