In today's news, we have a trending Memphis hashtag, a couple of new restaurant announcements, a rare gathering of Memphis breweries, and more.

Sometimes you want to show that special guy or lady how much you care, but you can't afford to take them to Restaurant Iris or hold their hand courtside seats to a Grizzlies game.

Last week, Shelby Farms broke ground on their new "Heart of the Park" expansion.

The newest addition to Memphis' newest hot spot is now open to the public. Babalu Tacos & Tapas (which has one other location in Jackson, Mississippi) serves tacos and tapas, of course, along with salads, tortas, sides to share, and specialty cocktails.

Get ready Memphis - there's another hot spot brewing in the Edge District. High Cotton brewery opens it's taproom on Monroe Avenue on June 14, 2014. I stopped by a few days ago, and was able to get the scoop on the history of the location, and how this local brewery transformed the space.

If you didn't know to look for Zam Zamz Mediterranean Grill, you might not find it. The restaurant, with its unassuming facade, is in a shopping center in front of a shopping center across from a shopping center near Winchester and Bill Morris Parkway. Why is it a miracle? First, it's unusual that a family-owned restaurant would be hidden amongst a Wingstop, Genghis Grill, Cheddar's, and an Olive Garden (the TGIFridays and Logan's Roadhouse are across the street).
