Memphis Redbirds to Host Deck the Diamond Holiday Spectacular

Editor's Note: Unfortunately, Deck the Diamond will not be returning for the 2024 holiday season.

AutoZone Park will be the host site of a new holiday light display featuring 190 structures, ice skating rink, a huge Christmas tree, and more. Deck the Diamond Holiday Spectacular opens at AutoZone Park on November 24, 2023.

The Memphis Redbirds are making good use of their space this off-season with the introduction of a new light display making downtown Memphis much brighter this holiday season.

The display is made possible through a partnership with Enchant, the world's largest holiday light event experience according to a Memphis Redbirds release.

Guests will enter AutoZone Park at field level and walk along a path that will feature more than 190 lighting structures centered around a 60-foot Christmas tree.

There will be a large walk-through tunnel, archways, animals, presents, and trains. Deck the Diamond will also bring ice skating back to downtown! There will be a 3,600 square-foot ice skating rink located in left field.

Craig Unger, President and General Manager of the Memphis Redbirds, said he hopes this event will be a holiday tradition for years to come.

Enjoy the lights with festive food and drinks that will be offered like hot chocolate, Christmas margaritas, S'mores on a stick, Christmas kabobs, grilled cheese and tomato soup, and more.

Build your perfect Memphis meal:

I love to eat so if I were to have only one meal left.. I’m going all out. I’d start with an app of Gumbo Fries from Blue City Cafe or Bayou Fries from Chef Tam, wings from Good Fortune or Central’s (honey gold and Jamaican Jerk), potato salad from Fat Larry’s, side of bbq spaghetti from Bar-B-Q Shop, and fried okra from Soul Fish. All paired with a Beale Street Brewing Space Age Sippin’.

Your most memorable Memphis moment:

College GameDay on Beale Street. That was an electric and perfect morning. I was still working in news then and was able to take it in up close and on the stage at some points. The fun and joy of everyone down there that morning is unbeatable.
