FedExForum is one of my favorite places in Memphis, especially on game day.

FedExForum, Memphis, Tenn.

I've sat all over the arena, and while some seats have been better than others (I'm looking at you, borrowed tenth row tickets), I've never had a truly bad seat.

If you were one of those kids who spent all of your playground time hanging upside down from the monkeybars, aerial yoga is the closest adult equivalent to that. If you weren't one of those kids (and trust me, I wasn't), you can still do aerial yoga - you'll just have to learn to trust your legs and a suspicious piece of fabric.

The official city of Memphis skate park won't be open for another month or two, but for those who can't stand the wait, there's Al Town. Al Town, Memphis, Tenn.

You guys know we have the nicest minor league ballpark in the country, right? It's true - Baseball America named downtown's AutoZone Park the 2009 "Ballpark of the Year".  The airy, brick stadium is home to the Memphis Redbirds, a AAA feeder league for the St. Louis Cardinals.

The FedEx St. Jude Classic has something that no other stop on the PGA tour can claim: volunteers stationed at every hole, waving purple signs that read "Hush, y'all."   The signs, which are a tradition at the 54 year-old annual tournament, are highly effective.

I still believe. Let's be clear - the Grizzlies' time in the 2011 NBA playoffs was never actually about basketball.

Local sportscaster Chris Vernon has made the perfect Grizzlies t-shirt: Heart, Grit, Grind T-shirt It's a picture of Tony Allen's head surrounded by the words "All heart, grit, grind." Team owner Michael Heisley has one. Tony Allen has one (of course). Andrew Van Wyngarden (lead singer of MGMT) wore his on stage at Beale St. Music Fest.

Believe Memphis mural by Siphne Sylve Great stadiums have great nicknames. The Florida Gators have "The Swamp". Wrigley Field is "The Friendly Confines". And, as of this Spring, the FedExForum is "The Grindhouse". It make sense, given the team that plays there.

Half an hour into my first zumba class, I looked like this: Mid-Zumba My face was red, my hair was sweat-soaked, and if I hadn't taken my glasses off, they would have been fogged up. But, I was also really happy, happier than I've ever been in an aerobics class. That's because zumba doesn't feel at all like working out.
