The Majestic Grille Might Be the Rare Place That Can Please Everyone

The Majestic Grille is a deceptive little place. From the looks of it, it's an upscale, fancy, expensive kind of place, the kind you'd reserve for a special occasion. In reality, it would be a mistake to only think of the Majestic that way. Yes, the restaurant - which is housed in one of Memphis' first movie houses -oozes class, but the menu is full of unpretentious classics like sandwiches, steaks and salads.

Take the Shelby Farms Greenline to the New Cheffie's Cafe

After a 10 year hiatus, Cheffie's has re-opened in High Point Terrace. Clearly, the restaurant was missed because half of Memphis seemed to be having lunch there during the soft opening yesterday. It didn't seem overly packed, though, because the space is so huge. There was plenty of space at the long cafeteria-style tables and at couches. When it's nice out, there are plenty of tables on the shady patio. While Cheffie's has a small menu of classic sandwiches and salads, it's entirely more fun to choose the "create your own" option.

Dinner Plans: Tsunami in Cooper Young

Tsunami is located in Cooper Young, a Midtown neighborhood and restaurant district. It's an intersection of international delights - within two blocks, you can eat Mexican, Irish, Korean, French, Chinese, low country, and soul food. Tsunami serves Pacific Rim cuisine, which means that the menu contains lot of seafood and Asian-inspired dishes. Every night, there's a rotating list of "small plates", which are slightly smaller meals that are less expensive than regular entrees.
