DeMoir Books & Things, a Black and millennial-owned bookstore, is bringing readers to Downtown Memphis!

The bookstore offers a diverse selection of genres, including works by local authors, Black romance novels, LGBTQ+ stories, and classics such as Zora Neale Hurston's Their Eyes Were Watching God.

Ice cream is always a good idea, but this is coming from a girl whose grandmother always keeps a tub stocked in the freezer. But it’s an even sweeter idea when we’re talking about Kaye’s Pints and Scoops. Who knew so much flavor and deliciousness could be contained in a bright pink pint?

The small batch creamery, created by Kiamesha Wilson, came to be during the pandemic. She would make homemade ice cream for her close friends and family, but her creations weren’t something she could keep to herself.

Memphian Danny Barlow Prepares to make UFC Debut

The newest Welterweight of the UFC comes right from the Westwood neighborhood of Memphis. His journey to the ring wasn’t always a part of his journey and despite his inexperience, he found success and a contract with the UFC.

Memphis-native Danny Barlow is set to make his debut at UFC 298 in Anaheim, California, on February 17, 2024. Ahead of his octagon debut, we got to know more about the Westwood High graduate.
