Assignment #264 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to visit the city's most impressive (and photogenic) final resting place.

Here's what I played on this week's Memphis Mystery Train. As always, the local tracks are marked with an asterisk. But first, this is the weirdest thing I've found at WEVL (today):

When I was in high school, I was in the marching band. I was proud to be in the marching band, but I probably would have been a little cooler if I had learned to play something other than the tuba.

This is why I wish that School of Rock had been around when I was learning to play.

If I've learned anything over the past three years, it's that Memphisis full of crazy talented people. You guys are amazing photographers, writers, artists, designers and idea-havers.

So, this October, we're going to try something new on I Love Memphis: I'm issuing the blog's first ever monthly call for submissions. There's a theme, too - Memphis Firsts (creative, I know). 

Today in Memphis, we've got another update in the Chinese Sub Shop saga, a new co-working space, electric car charging stations, and two opportunities for festival participation. Also, today's the only day I'll encourage you to eat at a national chain restaurant, I promise.
