Soak in the Sunflowers at Ducks Unlimited Park

Across the great Mississippi River into West Memphis, you’ll find a stunning patch of sunflowers in bloom.

Ducks Unlimited Park, along with the Big River Park Conservancy, is a large conservation effort of the Mississippi River wetlands and it's where you can find them.

It can be a little tricky to find the sunflowers on your own. If you're utilizing this map of Ducks Unlimited Park, the sunflowers are located at the fork of its 7-mile trail loop. Or take the shortcut and access the sunflowers field by parking on Dacus Lake Road.

I recommend making a day out of it by hopping on your bike or renting one from Explore Bike Share and riding across Big River Crossing to the connecting trail. Explore Bike Share has a convenient station right by the entrance to Big River Crossing.

It makes for a beautiful backdrop with the sunflowers looking across to the Memphis skyline but do keep in mind that the sunflowers face east.

Agricenter International also has a sunflowers patch but it tends to bloom a little later. Keep an eye out for updates on its progress!

Ducks Unlimited Park is free to visit and is open daily from sunrise to sunset. To learn more, visit www.ducksunlimitedpark.com.
