University of Alabama University Singers Concert "Without the Earth"

St. George’s Friends of Music will host a Concert by the University of Alabama University Singers.

The University Singers is the premier vocal ensemble at the University of Alabama, 
known for its diverse repertoire and innovative performances.  The University Singers consists of undergraduate and graduate singers from over thirty academic disciplines, 
making it a diverse and inclusive ensemble. It serves as an ambassador for the 
university both on and off campus.  University Singers explores a wide variety of repertoire with a focus on storytelling through the choral art, and frequently commissions and premiers works by living composers. The ensemble was selected as a featured choir for the 2025 Alabama Music Educators Association Professional Development Conference and 2024 Alabama Vocal Association All-State Choral Festival. The ensemble is known for its thoughtful and innovative performances, flexibility in vocal styles, and passionate choral singing. The singers recently completed their first international tour of a UA vocal group in 14 years, performing in Berlin, Heildelberg and Leipzig. 

For this concert the group will primarily be singing music by current composers. The concert admission is free, donations to St. George’s Friends of Music, who host a variety of musical events, is welcomed. Reception to meet the singers following the concert.
