For four days, Comeback Coffee transforms into a reimagined neighborhood bodega celebrating the legacy of hip-hop, the influence of Wu-Tang Clan, and the creative spirit of Memphis.

C.R.E.A.M. — Culture Rules Everything Around Me is an immersive pop-up experience blending music, art, food, fashion, and community through the lens of one of hip-hop’s most iconic cultural references. Inspired by the classic anthem, this experience shifts the meaning from currency to culture honoring the idea that culture moves everything first.

Throughout the four-day activation, guests can explore exclusive merchandise, limited-edition magazines, original artwork from local visual artists, curated DJ programming, specialty food and beverage experiences, coffee activations, cocktails, and community-centered events.

FRIDAY, MAY 1

Enter the Chamber: Hip-Hop Homage Night

Friday is dedicated to the spirit of hip-hop raw energy, DJ culture, lyricism, and timeless sound.

Step inside the C.R.E.A.M. bodega for a night inspired by classic New York Fridays, interpreted through Memphis energy. Vinyl-driven sets, curated sounds, and a surprise cypher on the patio bring the culture to life.

Featuring special appearances from Memphis legend DJ Spanish Fly, alongside sets from Avious, Bizzle Bluebland, and SOLA.

Daytime activation from Comeback Coffee runs 10AM – 3PM.

Evening experience begins 6PM – 10PM.

SATURDAY, MAY 2

Build the Block: Commerce + Culture Day

Saturday celebrates ownership, creativity, and supporting the people who move culture forward.

The alley and patio open into an expanded outdoor lounge experience featuring music, art, food, coffee, cocktails, and community. Shop exclusive merchandise, purchase original artwork, connect with local creatives, and enjoy a full daytime social atmosphere.

Featuring a special coffee pop-up by Cxffeeblack and bodega style cuisine by Groovy Gratitude.

Music by Lady Shaun, Yobreezye, and SOLA.

11AM – 4PM

Come support local business, local art, and local culture.

SUNDAY, MAY 3

Protect Yo Block: Community Block Party Finale

We close the weekend by celebrating the most important part of culture the people.

Sunday transforms C.R.E.A.M. into a neighborhood block party filled with music, food, movement, and good energy. Food trucks line the front of the venue while the bodega remains open inside for final shopping. Groovy Gratitude adds a smoothie bar for the day, alongside drinks and community-centered vibes throughout.

Each day offers a different chapter of the experience from an invite only soft opening, to a hip-hop homage night, to a commerce and culture marketplace, and a closing block party dedicated to neighborhood pride and collective energy.
