Social distancing will be enforced and masks are required. 2. Nutcracker: A Gift From Ballet Memphis, WKNO TV, Friday, 8 p.m., free, all ages/kid-friendly Since we can’t gather at our local theaters for Nutcracker performances this year, Ballet Memphis is bringing the show to us—for free! Ballet Memphis’s Nutcracker was filmed at their studio and the historic Mallory-Neely house, the show will be broadcast on WKNO and WKNO 2 on Friday, Dec. 11, and then after that through various community partners and Ballet Memphis. Toy Truck Benefitting Porter-Leath, Channel 5 Station (1960 Union Ave. by the Chic Fit A), Friday - Saturday, all ages With no Stumbling Santa pub crawl* and a pandemic affecting families' incomes, the need for Toy Truck is greater than ever! Make a kid's holiday special by donating new, unwrapped toys or funds. Just drop off your toys and donations at the Action News 5 parking lot this Friday from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. or Saturday from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. There's one more drop off date on Dec. 19 at IKEA—or you can donate online or text TOY to 50155.4. Homegrown Holiday Market, Memphis Farmers Market, Saturday, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m., free to enter, all ages The downtown Farmer’s Market is bad for one weekend, holiday-style, with local produce, vendors, pre-made food and goodies, too. Drive-Thru Santa Express, 3475 Central Ave., Saturday and Sunday, $10 per vehicle, all age/kid-friendly The Junior League of Memphis will host a drive-through Santa visit at their HQ (near Central and Highland) on Saturday (10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 5 p.m.-7 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m. - 3 p.m.). Families take photos with Santa from the safety of your vehicle. Pre-purchase photos online or buy while you’re there.
