2020 Holiday Markets and Shopping Guide For Memphis and the Mid-South

Holiday markets in Memphis and the Mid-South are underway, and local shops and artisans are in need of your support more than ever. Here’s a list of how to shop local in 2020.

Here is your list of Memphis area holiday markets to use as a shopping guide.

Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market, First Congo parking lot, Saturdays year-round, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cooper-Young Farmers Market switches to Winter Market hours and vendors starting in November.  Shop every week for local produce and pre-made foods, Memphis Made beer, hearty winter soups, handmade jewelry, lotions and potions and much more.

Pink Palace Crafts Fair Pop-Ups – through December 27th
The Pink Palace and Memphis Modern Market are brining the annual Crafts Fair to life every weekend from September through December this year! Head over the Museum of a pop-up market of more than 30 artists and brands offering art, decor, jewelry, candles and more. Mask up and social distance. Open Fridays 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Saturdays 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Sundays noon to 5 p.m.

Arrow’s Holiday Bazaar – November 23 – December 6
Arrow is a studio, shop and gallery at 2535 Broad Avenue that will host a holiday market this year with 85 local arts and craft vendors. It’s open Wednesdays 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Thursday through Sundays from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Mask up, social distance, and note the private shopping is available.

Memphis Arts Collective – Nov. 27 through Dec. 24
This year, the Memphis Arts Collective will host their holiday artist market at the former Spin Street location at Poplar and Highland. Expect arts, crafts, handmade gifts, jewelry, and more. Mask up and social distance, please! This Memphis Arts Collective holiday market will be open daily November 27 through December 24 from  10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Metal Museum Store Sunday – November 29th
From the Metal Museum: “Avoid the crowds and shop the Museum Store online this year. Grab your favorite beverage and join us on Zoom for a virtual store event! Learn more about the handmade and one-of-a-kind items in the 2020 Gift Guide and discover how your favorite pieces are made. You will also get the opportunity to speak to some of the featured artists. Tickets to this event are FREE, but registration is required.

Memphis Maker Mondays – November 30th
“Join the Memphis Flyer Crafts & Drafts team as we we meet local makers, artists, and crafters on this weekly livestreamed series.”

Boxlot Holiday Market – Dec. 4 – 5
“Shop in person with 7 Black Businesses to find the perfect gifts for the ones you love! RSVP: boxlothm.eventbrite.com

Black Christmas Expo Virtual Experience – Dec. 11 – 13
“Enjoy a three-day weekend of Christmas shopping online from 100 Black Businesses! RSVP: bce2020.eventbrite.com.”

Homegrown Holiday Market – December 12th 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The Memphis Farmers Market will host their annual “homegrown holiday market” at their usual location at Ge Patterson and South Main Street. Shop local produce, gifts, prepared foods, and more.
