Not my neighborhood library growing up (that would be Highland), but it was at Cossitt that I first experienced a number of classic movies as a young adult. I never liked the 1959 re-do (Civic Modern not my thing), and it was only as an adult that I discovered what it originally looked like. Only recently did I learn that the back of the building is still original. That wacky disjunct between front and back is just so--Memphis. :-)
