Welcome to a spirited journey through the heart of Memphis, where libations become an art form and every sip tells a story. In "Sip and Savor: Memphis' Most Unique Cocktails," we've curated a collection that transcends the ordinary, featuring concoctions that are as diverse as the city itself.
S'mores Around the Campfire - Restaurant Iris
Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Laphroaig, maple syrup, chocolate bitters, toasted marshmallow
We would be remiss if we didn’t kick off this incredible list with a cocktail that has a name very dear to us at Campfire Collective. Beyond its name, the smooth bite of Buffalo Trace combined with the sweet notes of chocolate bitters, topped with a perfectly toasted marshmallow, will definitely warm you up during the cold months.

Black Cherry Martini - Flight
Effen Black Cherry Vodka, Cointreau, soaked black cherries
It’s not too sweet, we promise! If any restaurant is going to do a cherry martini right, it is sure to be Flight. Effen Black Cherry Vodka is delicious by itself, but with a hint of Cointreau and soaked black cherries, it makes a pretty exceptional cocktail.
Hold on to Your Britches - Barware
Wheatley Vodka, lemon, simple syrup, pomegranate liqueur
A pink cocktail is the best kind of cocktail and Barware does it right. Shaken and served in a martini glass, Hold on to Your Britches will make you stick around for the night. It is sweet, tangy, and fun all at once.
Smoked Old Fashioned - Moondance
Blue Note Bourbon, orange bitters, sugar cube, cherry
A smoky, delicious beverage is almost guaranteed to be a hit. We tend to like things smoked in Memphis, after all! Prepared in a special smoky case, this new Old Fashioned is a treat for your tastebuds.
Espresso Martini - Hog and Hominy
An Espresso Martini is a timeless classic. We’ve heard the version at Hog and Hominy called “the best in Memphis” by some. While we can neither confirm nor deny this, we do know the cocktail is pretty dang good. You can’t go wrong with this espresso martini, whether it is after dinner for dessert or you need a midday pick-me-up.
Lucid Dreams - South of Beale
Old Dominick vodka, violette liqueur, lavender syrup, lemon juice, lemon bitters
This dreamy vodka (see what we did there!) cocktail is sweet and sour. Think a Capri Sun lemonade but for grownups. The lavender syrup adds a hint of sweetness while the lemon juice and bitters give it a nice tangy kick. The Lucid Dreams is perfect for a summer evening or a late night with friends.
Any aperitif Hunter cooks up - Bari
If you are lucky enough to know Bari bartender/mixologist extraordinaire Hunter, then you know his deep passion for aperitifs/digestifs and knowledge of southern Italian cultures. If you don’t know Hunter, belly up to the bar at Bari one night and you will surely leave with a friend but not a full stomach – that’s where the digestifs come in! So visit Hunter for a pre-meal aperitif and a post-meal digestif. Whatever you need, he will certainly concoct a beverage that is almost as memorable as his warm friendly nature.
It would take us a lifetime to describe all the unique cocktails around our unique city, so we will send it your way. Tell us, did we miss any? Let us know your favorites -- we are always looking for new and unique cocktails to try.
