Where To Eat On Beale Street
As the most famous street in Memphis and one of the most iconic places in the country, Beale Street gets a lot of love for its music and its drinks. You'll find some good eats too.
Here are nine places to eat on Beale Street in no particular order.

Bari ristorante in midtown memphis
In 2021, Bari Ristorante moved from their original Overton Square spot to a bigger, brighter location just down the street at 524 S. Cooper Street. The new space is lovely and light-filled and there’s outdoor seating!
Found: A Meal at Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken
I'm not sure what I can say about Gus's that hasn't already been said at this point? It's a simple but beloved place, and while it's now a national chain, the original location was in Mason, Tennessee about an hour from downtown Memphis.
The second location is on Second Street downtown, and you'll usually find a long line, so be prepared to wait. The theme of the restaurant is Fried Things. Gus's has a handful of appetizers aka crispy-fried vegetables, slaw, baked beans, fries, white bread, desserts, more sides, and the main event: fried chicken.
Eat This: The Slider Inn's Lobster Roll
Ed. Note: October 3, 2021 is the last day or get a lobster roll or lobster bisque at Slider Inn, at least until the spring!
I know that you probably are addicted to the sliders or the nachos at the Slider Inn, but I have to recommend that on at least one trip, you skip the sliders and go for the lobster roll.

We know Aldo's Pizza Pies for their pizza, obviously, but don't miss their delicious sandwiches. Today I'll tell you about Aldo's take on the Cuban sandwich, called "Cubano" on their menu. Aldo's has two locations, one in midtown Memphis and one in downtown Memphis. Their pizza menus are slightly different, but the sandwich offerings are completely different. You can only get the Cubano at the tiny midtown pizza joint in Cooper Young. They also have an adorable rooftop patio.
