The stylish mural painted on the brick wall inside Tamp & Tap downtown offers guests the option to Grind or Unwind, which is an appropriate message for a coffee and beer concept.
If you’re wondering about the name: the tamp is the metal thing for pressing grounds to make espresso, and the tap is of course, a beer tap.

Let me begin this post with a moment of silence for Frank's Deli. For years, I enjoyed lunch from the sandwich shop and convenience store at the corner of South Main and Vance downtown. Sadly, Frank's and its delicious, beautiful sandwiches closed circa 2014.
All is not lost, though, because out of the rubble we have ourselves one Bedrock Eats & Sweets.

Since this is the I Love Memphis Food & Drink Week 2014, I promised that I'd tell you about the weirdest food day I'd ever had in Memphis. The day was only strange because I ate at the two places that are so totally different, it's hard to believe they're only a few miles apart.
