There's a good reason that Memphians have loved Ciao Bella for years. The casual East Memphis restaurant serves great Italian food.

There's Dominican food in Memphis, but you're going to have to venture well outside of the I-240 loop to find it. The good news is, the food at 42 Dominican is very much worth the drive. For those of you not familiar, Dominican food is island food. Think of it as sort of a cross between Mexican and Creole, with lots of fresh vegetables and plantains. When it came to ordering, I was a little lost.

Attention, budget fashionistas - there's a magical place in east Memphis where both your high-end tastes and thin wallet can be satisfied. Celery is located in an appropriately celery colored converted house on Brookhaven Circle in East Memphis. They bill themselves as an "upscale ladies resale" boutique, which means that when people are done with their designer goods, they can bring them to Celery to sell on consignment.

If you're not normally a fan of salads as a meal, Andrea's lobster Cobb salad from Circa might change your mind. I'm not sure who Andrea is, but her name is on an awesome salad. The salad ($13) is a plate piled with romaine tossed in tangy house-made dressing flanked

If, like me, you sit around wishing that Las Delicias would bring the tacos to you or that Ryu's spicy crab soup could magically show up at your house, then Meals in Motion could change your life. Here's how it works: you look over the local restaurant offerings on the Meals in Motion website, decide what you want and call them. They go to the restaurant, pick up your order and bring it to your house.

I need to take a second and say a huge thank you to reader Caleb for pointing me in the direction of Middle East Bakery and Grill. The restaurant, which opened about two weeks ago on Summer Ave., is part Middle Eastern restaurant, part grocery store and part bakery. While the regular dinner menu is limited to some Middle Eastern basics - think shawarma, tekka, lamb and rice - there's a different, more exotic, special every day.

There's amazing art hiding in Memphis. It's not at some tiny new gallery or blink-and-you'll-miss-it show.
