The newest grocery store in Memphis is the Fresh Market at the corner of Cooper and Union in midtown, in the old Ike's location. It opened to the public at 8 a.m. this morning, and I was there for the cracking of the cheese. (At Fresh Market, they bust open a new wheel of parmesan cheese instead of the usual ribbon cutting.) 

Broad Avenue Arts District in the Binghampton neighborhood is another area that has gone from almost empty to exciting (even bustling on some nights) in the last few years. If you haven't been to Broad Avenue in a while, here's a guide to what's going on. 

The other day I met a friend for drinks, and at some point realized I was wearing old jeans and a black tank top I bought in the kids' section on sale about eight years ago. This, plus my constant struggle to figure out what to wear, led me to realize I should probably update my wardrobe a little.

The Henny Penny Mobile Fashion Boutique is open for business starting today. Here's a look inside this brand-new way to shop for adorable dresses and accessories. The mobile shop will have its grand opening today (Saturday, March 29) from noon - 4 p.m. in the parking lot at Theatre Memphis. Ladies: get over there early, because I predict these spring frocks, tops, and skirts will go fast.
