The people that brough us the Winchester Farmers Market have opened a second, bigger palace of international delights in Cordova. Behold the Cordova Farmers Market.

Every so often, I skim through Etsy for Memphis-related items. Usually, I find a lot of map art, photography, Elvis tributes and tons of Tigers-themed everything (seriously -  I had no idea there was a market for Tiger blue garter belts).

Today, though, I came across these:

For the next few months at least, there's a new place to shop for home decor and gifts downtown.

The shop is called beeTemps, and it's the first of the pop-up shops that are filling the empty space at the Power House Gallery this year.

Updated May 2017 Here's the situation: you're a musician. You're having some kind of show / late night practice / impromptu rock'n'roll party times when suddenly, a string breaks. You don't have any, and it's late enough that all of the stores that sell guitar strings have closed. What do you do? If you're in Memphis, you hit up the 24-hour vending machine stocked with strings, picks and cords at Consignment Music on Park.

Antique Warehouse Mall is filling the antique store void that Bojo's left when it closed last year. This store is smaller and much better organized, but it's quickly become one of my favorite places to kill an hour.

Here are some of the things I found while wandering around this afternoon.

Make mama proud and eat your veggies! Even better, buy those healthy, fresh fruits and veggies directly from the farmers who grow them.

While there are about a dozen local farmers markets, assignment #102 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis list is to try out the Memphis Farmers Market. It's every Saturday morning downtown behind Central Station from April through October from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On March 30-31 the inaugural Memphis Fashion Weekend was held downtown at the Jack Robinson Gallery  and at historic A. Schwab (on Beale St.)

I'm a fan of basketball, Tony Allen and locally-made things, which means that I'm a big fan of this t-shirt.

The best used bookstore in the city is inside the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library. Assignment #81 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to check it out, no pun intended.
