We can all cheer for beer at the 14th annual Cooper-Young Beerfest returning on Saturday, October 19.

The 14th annual Cooper-Young Beer Fest is this Saturday It's no secret that it's one of the favorite festivals in town. There are still just a few tickets left on sale for Saturday's event - so get yours now before they sell out.

Tickets are $60+fees and include unlimited beer tastings from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m., a CY Beerfest mug, and tunes from Goner Records. They'll have local food trucks on site, too.

This year, see Zoo Lights from the top of a brightly lit 90-foot Ferris Wheel. It's assignment #278 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis, and it's a part of the annual holiday light display at the Memphis Zoo. 

Ferris wheels aren't normally my thing, but I got talked into riding the Ferris Wheel at Zoo Lights a few years ago. There are gondola-like carts (instead of the seats where your feet dangle freely), so the ride was super smooth.

Have Lunch At The Reopened Caritas Village Cafe In Binghampton

After more than a year of renovations, Caritas Village reopened in September with a new Executive Director, a revamped cafe menu, and a renovated event space that's open to the public.

If you're unfamiliar, Caritas Village is a beloved community center and restaurant in Binghampton. The space was founded by Onie Johns in 2006 (read more about her here) and for more than a decade served the community as a place for art, gatherings, and good meals.
