Assignment #180 in the 365 Things to Do in Memphis is to spend a Saturday night with the ladies of Memphis Roller Derby. I don't just say that because I'm one of said ladies - I say it because roller derby is kind of an incredible thing.
The Flaming Lips kicked off their attempt to break the world record for most concerts in a 24-hour period at Handy Park yesterday afternoon.
The eight show mini-tour was part of the 2012 O Music Awards and is taking the Lips from Memphis through Mississippi to New Orleans.
