Ed. Note: The nice thing about living in a music city is that we get a ton of great live shows every single month. The tough thing, however, is deciding which bands to see. With that in mind, here are 10 recommendations for shows you won't want to miss in the coming month.

1. The Nutcracker, Orpheum Theatre,  Friday - Sunday, 7:30 p.m. / 2 p.m., $10 and up

It's Thursday, which means it's Mystery Train set list time. Here's what I played on today's show with the local tracks marked with an asterisk.

Here are the basic requirments for being a member of the Memphis Grizzlies' dance team: 1) you must have four to six years of dance training (classical, ballet, modern, pom are all acceptable, but you don't have professional or dance team experince). 2). You must be either a full-time student or have a full-time job, in additon to going to practice several nights a week and dancing at roughly 30 NBA games every season. 3.) You have to be able to learn 20 to 30 dance routines quickly and retain them. 4.) You must be able to dance in heels.

I haven't eaten at Marlowe's Barbecue (yet), but I'm quite taken by the fact that they've not only painted an Airstream to look like a pig, but have also decorated it for the holidays by lining it with pink garland and strapping a pink Christmas tree to its roof.
