New Restaurants Coming To Memphis
NEW DIVE BAR EXPECTED AT FORMER PRINTER'S ALLEY LOCATION
The location of the infamous Printer's Alley (RIP) may soon come back to life with a new dive bar per the Memphis Business Journal. I'm here for the name alone: Louis Connelly's Bar for Fun Times and Friendship and … also Karaoke?
BRUNCH SPOT TO OPEN IN RIZZO'S LOCATION
The Garden BC is a new brunch restaurant slated to go in the former Rizzo's location on S. Main. As reported by the Memphis Business Journal, the new spot expects to open in mid-March. The restaurant owners hail from Nashville and you can expect classic brunch items.
Cache 42 BY Moneybagg Yo
Moneybagg Yo is one of the biggest names in the rap scene and soon his portfolio will grow with the opening of Cache 42 Kitchen & Cocktails. From his sneak peek on Instagram, the space looks elegant but fun. There's tables for hookah and looks like plenty of space for dancing. No word on an official opening date but we imagine it's coming soon. Location: 4202 Hacks Cross Rd.
Whataburger
Whataburger is coming to Midtown! This will be part of a large development at the site of the old MPD precinct on Union Ave. (Oh no to traffic on that road). Read about it here.
Elwood's Shack 2.0
Elwood's will open a second location near the University of Memphis at 4040 Park Ave.
Bog & Barley
Celtic Crossing owners DJ and Jamie Naylor and Chef Reny Alfonso will offer Irish food in a nice but cozy Irish pub environment at Bog & Barley in the Regalia Shopping Center.
The Public
In the former Sweetgrass space in Cooper Young, Knifebird owner Kate Ashby plans to open an upscale bistro that will not be a sports bar.
Ya Mas Taverna
The owner of this restaurant has been messing up my search results for years! Big Brother star and restauranteur Memphis Garrett plans to open a third location of his Mediterranean restaurant concept in The Edge District. They have a location in Fort Lauderdale, pictured below:
3 of Cups
If you haven’t been to The Edge District lately, what are you waiting for? Inkwell cocktail bar is going strong, and Rootstock wine shop has opened across the street. The latter is planning a wine bar called 3 of Cups next door to the shop.
Anima Coffee Bar
The coffee geniuses at Vice & Virtue are taking their expertise to the next level at Anima, which will focus on coffee and amaro. This one will be in The Citizen in midtown.
