Spillit: Lesson Plan

Join New Memphis and Spillit for a Center Stage event -- an evening of stories from educators that speak to the theme, “Lesson Plan." Kick off the start of a new school year by listening to these powerful stories and celebrating the reveal of the 2026 Educators of Excellence award winners and finalists!

2026 Storytellers:

• Claire D. Kolheim (she/her/hers), 9th-12th grade math teacher at Memphis Rise Academy
• Stephanie Sacco (she/her/hers), Kindergarten teacher at Idlewild Elementary
• Ricardo Trejo (he/him/his), 5th grade ELA teacher at Kingsbury Elementary
• Timothy Woods (he/him/his), 7th-8th grade math teacher at Compass Community Schools - Frayser

This free event is open to the public (you don't need to be an educator to attend!). Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.
