Latin Soul: Cinco de Mayo

Memphis is getting a fresh take on Cinco de Mayo with the Latin Soul Cinco de Mayo Experience, happening Sunday, May 3. This cultural event blends live music, food, and community into an afternoon designed to celebrate cultura and connection.

Guests can expect live salsa from Tropical Fusion Latin Band, mariachi performances, and a curated Mexican buffet by Chef Marco Navarro. 

There will also be Salsa Lessons from Aminah Jackson before Tropical Fusion Latin Band performs Live Salsa and includes The Artist Table as well as Urevbu Contemporary art gallery.. The Art Gallery side will include a live DJ from Mala Leche and he will be spinning Latin House, Cumbia, Bachata, and Reggaeton.

Beyond the music and food, the event also incorporates a community-focused element, offering a welcoming space for connection and access to local civic information ahead of Memphis’ May 5 elections.

The event is part of the growing Latin Soul Series, which focuses on creating elevated, culturally rooted experiences that bring people together. Ticket options include general admission for live music and a full experience ticket that includes the buffet.
