3 New Things To Do This Weekend

Let's start off April with some NEW ideas for things to do in the Mid-South this weekend!

I know y'all need some fresh ideas for the first weekend in April, so here are three! Check out a few more APRIL FUN things to do here.

1. The West Memphis Top Golf Whataburger

Take a day trip across the river to the brand new West Memphis Top Golf Whataburger. This combination golf attraction and fast food mega-complex is the first of its kind and it's just right over there in Arkansas. I know we've been asking for a Top Golf and a Whataburger for YEARS but let's support our neighbors and enjoy their grand opening on April 1.

2. Make A Splash At A Local Sinkhole!

The weather is warming up, and summer will be here before you know it. Cool off in one of our Memphis Sinkholes! Grab a few friends after a rain and splash around at multiple locations—you can find these watering holes across the city, including Midtown, in the middle of 240, and near the University. If you're looking for the full water park experience, head to a midtown neighborhood street after a minor rain. Bring your boogie boards!

3. Hatchet Fun At Crosstown

The renovated former Sears distribution center has nixed the "vertical urban village" concept to become an axe-throwing headquarters for Memphians who love hurling medieval weaponry at plywood walls. "The new Crosstown Axecourse will meet the extreme demand,” says new owner Fred Cleaver. "We're proud to serve local beers at 15 different bars throughout the one million square feet dedicated 100% to axe-throwing." Memphis Made Brewing Co. will create two unique new brews for the opening of the Axecourse, "So I Married An Axe Marzen" and "Logger Lager".
