Obviously the answer to this post’s title 'Where To Watch Memphis Tigers Football?’ is at the game.
But if it's an away game or if you’re looking to cheer on another favorite team of yours, here’s a list of great places you can probably watch the game in Memphis. Always call ahead to confirm that the game will be aired, find out if there's sound, the pub is open, etc.
Yes, there’s a lot of great spots to watch games but we kept this list strictly to locally-owned spots in Memphis.
Max’s Sports Bar (Downtown)
A favorite spot for fans of all teams and the winner of SEO in Memphis (so very few spots have “sports bar” in their name so Max’s has to lead the list). Max’s has many TVs that likely any big game will be on at least one of them. Want to be sure? They tape up the schedules to each TV prior to Saturdays. The space is small but they have additional seating and TVs outside too.
Brookhaven Pub & Grill (East Memphis)
Known for its large outdoor patios, Brookhaven is a popular spot for watching games, with multiple screens, good food, and a lively crowd. This is truly one of the best and largest sports bars in Memphis to go to.
Celtic Crossing (Cooper-Young)
While this is also a go-to spot for soccer fans, Celtic Crossing is a great spot to catch Tigers games. They have a fun and lively atmosphere with plenty of TVs and a great outdoor area.
The Green Beetle (Downtown)
Memphis' oldest tavern, The Green Beetle, offers a historic atmosphere combined with modern amenities like plenty of TVs for watching sports. It’s a great spot for grabbing a bite and enjoying the game with a laid-back vibe.
Slider Inn (Downtown, Midtown)
The downtown Slider Inn location has taken great strides to become a go-to spot for football watching. Especially Thursday and Sunday football. Downtown patio has a huge outdoor TV screen perfect for game nights. Plenty of picnic table seatings or hang in one of their cabanas.
TJ Mulligan’s (Multiple Locations)
With several locations around Memphis, TJ Mulligan’s offers a friendly atmosphere, a variety of food and drink options, and multiple screens for catching all the big games. It's a solid choice for a more local, laid-back experience.
Bayou Bar & Grill (Overton Square)
Bayou may be all things NOLA and Saints on Sundays but it’s also a great place for Saturday football. Really it’s a great spot to catch any NFL game but of course–Saints first. All I need is football, zydeco wings, and a macmosa. Plenty of seating at Bayou too.
Alex’s Tavern (Midtown)
A Memphis institution since 1953, Alex’s Tavern is one of the city’s oldest and most beloved dive bars and you definitely get that feeling during a football game. Known for its legendary burgers and classic jukebox, this no-frills spot has a charm all its own. The bar features several TVs and a laid-back atmosphere, making it a favorite for locals who appreciate good food, strong drinks, and a true Memphis experience.
Loflin Yard (South Main)
An underrated spot to catch a game in my opinion with indoor bars and outdoor spaces. They have a ton of TVs outside but for big viewing events, head indoors where they have a few large projector screens.
Huey's (Multiple Locations)
While not exclusively a sports bar, Huey’s is a Memphis institution with plenty of TVs to catch a game, especially if you’re looking for good burgers and a family-friendly environment. Highly recommend the Poplar East location which recently expanded a huge patio space with TVs.
Who did we miss, Memphis? We want to know all the spots.
