South Main Trolley Night Is Back!

South Main Trolley Night Is Back!

"Trolley Night" is the last Friday of the month and the longest-running street festival in the city. To save you a calendar search, the first trolley night is March 28th.

During Trolley Night, shops and galleries host open houses, usually with some live music, free drinks and snacks, and special openings or events. Restaurants and bars will also dish out specials for the occasion too.

Yes, the trolleys are currently down at the moment for needed repairs but that doesn't mean the party stops!

It's a time to explore the South Main Arts District and find all those places you didn't know were open. If the weather is nice, you can expect a pretty good crowd.

I always go to the @southmainmem Instagram account or Facebook page to see the specifics for each month, whether that's an art opening at Urevbu Contemporary Gallery, a DJ set at Central Station, or music at South Main Sounds. I always love starting at Stock & Belle. For the first trolley night they're hosting a Women's Month Pop-Up featuring a bunch of women-owned shops. Check the details here!

About the Author

Hello! I'm Jalyn Souchek, the Director of Content for I Love Memphis Blog! I love calling the 901 home. When I'm not running the blog you can find me cheering on the Grizzlies, at a concert, exploring a new restaurant or kicking back at one of our breweries. I hope you'll love experiencing Memphis with me.

Build your perfect Memphis meal:

I love to eat so if I were to have only one meal left.. I’m going all out. I’d start with an app of Gumbo Fries from Blue City Cafe or Bayou Fries from Chef Tam, wings from Good Fortune or Central’s (honey gold and Jamaican Jerk), potato salad from Fat Larry’s, side of bbq spaghetti from Bar-B-Q Shop, and fried okra from Soul Fish. All paired with a Beale Street Brewing Space Age Sippin’.

Your most memorable Memphis moment:

College GameDay on Beale Street. That was an electric and perfect morning. I was still working in news then and was able to take it in up close and on the stage at some points. The fun and joy of everyone down there that morning is unbeatable.

Welcome!

I’ve been a fan of this blog since nearly the beginning. I always share the posts on what, where and when for the best of Memphis. I share your posts on the Graceland website. They welcome over 650,000 visitors each year and they are always looking for something to do at night. Many come for a week or more and since it costs foreign fans from $10,000 and up, they want to know of restaurants and events, especially Downtown.
