Shop Local: The Mane Wildling

If you’ve ever seen The Mane Wildling floral arrangements, you know they’re not your average blooms. They’re the kind of designs that feel effortlessly beautiful; they’re timeless, but with just enough personality to make them unforgettable.

The Mane Wildling specializes in everything from bespoke wedding flowers and dreamy event production to lifestyle designs that make everyday spaces feel special. Every arrangement is crafted with seasonal blooms and a story in mind.

At the heart of The Mane Wildling is a celebration of beauty, joy, and artful living, and they’re currently bringing their artistry to life through a pop-up residency in Uptown (they’re neighbors to Groovy Gratitude and Evolve Pilates). Inside the pop-up you’ll find a beautifully curated mix of gifts and home décor treasures (think sculptural vases, cozy candles, coffee table books, and apothecary finds).

The space also serves as a gathering place, hosting unique events and workshops in collaboration with fellow creatives.

I recently met up with owner, Verushka Wilson, to check out the pop-up, take a few photos, and hear more about the inspiration behind the brand.

How long has The Mane Wildling been in business? How long will you be doing the Pop-Up Residency?

The Mane Wildling has been in business for 5 years. I started during the pandemic as a studio florist while working full time at ALSAC/St. Jude. The residency will run until Spring of 2026.

Why Uptown for your location?

It truly felt like divine alignment; Uptown really found us. More specifically, Malone Park Commons, at the perfect moment. Rhonda Brown of MMDC, a dear friend and mentor, reached out in early March to share an opportunity to bring our vision to life through a seasonal pop-up in the neighborhood. Her ongoing work to cultivate meaningful business growth in the area made it a natural fit. The invitation felt like more than chance. It was a nudge from the universe, especially with the shop nestled at the intersection of N. Main and Saffarans. I took it as a gift from my grandfather, our namesake. I prayed, I listened and said yes. It was literally the perfect place for the concept. A small space, big idea.

What inspired the concept of the Residency/Gift Shop Component?

I envisioned a concept that allowed me to weave together all the things I love without the weight of a full-time brick and mortar. In the spirit of a pop-up, the Spring Residency became a way to explore a curated blend of floral-centered experiences that engaged the community. Intimate gatherings, wine and jazz evenings, small batched goods, niche fragrances, happy hours and of course flowers at the heart of it all.

What do you feel sets The Mane Wildling apart from other floral design companies? What should people look forward to with the pop-up?

The Mane Wildling is built on more than just florals: we’re a lifestyle brand grounded in intention, storytelling and a strong sense of place. What sets us apart is our ability to blend our southern heritage and global influence to create wild yet artful design. Creating experiences that feel both resonant and elevated. Through florals, we honor legacy, celebrate beauty and cultivate meaningful moments. The residency is an invitation into that world—where flowers meet community, scent meets story and intentional design is a way of life.

What’s your favorite part about owning The Mane Wildling and doing the Pop-Up?

The most meaningful part of this journey has been the incredible people I’ve met along the way. There’s something truly powerful about the sense of community that forms when guests step into the space and feel a sense of calm and connection. Those moments of shared presence and vulnerability are what make it all worthwhile.

Owning The Mane Wildling and hosting the pop-up has given me a rare and beautiful opportunity, to offer my creativity and passion as an honest extension of who I am. I genuinely love creating, curating little treats and sharing experiences. Not only to bring beauty and intention into everyday moments but also to educate and inspire others along the way.

Any fun upcoming events we should know about?

Absolutely! We recently hosted a really successful Wine & Vinyl Night, and we’re excited to partner with a local winemaker for the next one. This Fall, we’ll also be launching a series of workshops that’ll be announced in the coming weeks. What I’m especially looking forward to are some incredible private events we’re hosting in the space, including a 50th birthday celebration and a one-year brand anniversary — both are going to be really special. Crafting meaningful, memorable experiences is always at the heart of what we do. AND The Mane Hour is hitting the road, popping up at a few of our favorite places. So definitely stay tuned for more on that.

And it’s not an event but something to note: We’re bringing Wildling Wednesday back which is our weekly/bi-weekly subscription. It will be designers' choice of a weekly arrangement for the set price of $75 for delivery (midtown & downtown only). In- shop pick up will be $65.
