I live pretty close to Overton Park.

Overton Park is great. It's huge, there's a ton of stuff there (trails, a playground, Levitt Shell, etc.), and it's about a 20 minute walk from my house. It's great, but it's not my favorite neighborhood park.

Memphis has plenty of free, outdoor music options - the Levitt Shell, Shelby Farms, Court Square, the Cooper-Young Gazeebo.

Thanks to a new-ish local concert series, we can add a growing list of Memphis backyards to the list. Now in its second season, 3artists1yard is bringing live acoustic shows directly to Memphians' homes. It doesn't get much more accessible than that.

Since the first Little Free Library popped up in Midtown about a year ago, it seems like a new one has been built almost every week.

There's no reason to stop going to the Levitt Shell when their early summer live concert series ends on July 13th. The Shell is hosting a different kind of live music from July 18th though August 24th - they're hosting Indie Memphis' third annual summer concert film series.
