Memphis rapper/hip-hip artist/emcee Knowledge Nick is on a roll. He's released four projects in three years, including his most recent album, "The New Memphis". Don't stereotype him for his genre or his age, though, because you won't hear "krunk" or "turnt up" on any of his albums. Not that he's against it - "everything has its lane" is something he likes to say - but a more message-based music is his personal style.
Yes, it's still summer, and there are still a few summer shows left, but the Levitt Shell has just announced its fall concert lineup, which kicks off on September 6. All shows are free (but donations accepted!) and start at 7 p.m. unless otherwise noted. For more information, visit levittshell.org.
The other day I met a friend for drinks, and at some point realized I was wearing old jeans and a black tank top I bought in the kids' section on sale about eight years ago. This, plus my constant struggle to figure out what to wear, led me to realize I should probably update my wardrobe a little.
