Pick Your Own Strawberries at Jones Orchards

Strawberry season is on at Jones Orchard, but don’t wait — the fields are only open for picking through the end of May!

Located a short drive north of Memphis in Millington, Jones Orchard has three acres of strawberry fields. The pick-your-own field and roadside market is located at 7170 Hwy 51.

When you arrive, head to the register to pick your own strawberries. You'll decide the size of bucket you want before heading over to the field to fill as you desire.

They tend to sell out quickly each day so I would arrive early. Don’t hop in the car without keeping an eye on their social media. They often share when the strawberries have run out.

It’s open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can pick your own or there are already picked buckets available at the roadside market on-site. Be sure to order a refreshing strawberry slush to slurp down there or some strawberry ice cream. By the strawberry fields, there is a large tent with benches underneath. Perfect for a family picnic.

Pricing is $22 for a gallon, $16 for a quart bucket, or $10 for a 1.5-quart tray.

If you can’t make it up there but want some fresh strawberries, Jones Orchard sets up each Saturday at the Memphis Farmers’ Market, in South Main, and Cooper-Young Community Farmers’ Market.

The strawberry season is shot but the good news? Peach season is right around the corner. Jones Orchard has 110 acres of peaches of 25 varieties. The peaches you-pick-it season tends to run from June to September.

Blackberries are also expected to ripen at the same time as peaches. For all information about the you-pick-it options, visit their website.
