Shop Local: Mili’s Flowers + Gifts Bring Flower Power To Crosstown Concourse

If you’ve ever seen an extremely cute, vintage mobile flower truck popping up at events around town, it belongs to Miriam “Mili” Cordero, owner of Mili’s Flowers & Gifts.

A lover of flowers since she was a little girl—she developed her passion for making floral arrangements with her mother and grandmother while growing up in Reynosa Tamauilipas, Mexico—Mili decided to take the leap and launch her business in 2019 after her and her husband found and renovated the “peachy” VW truck.

Flower Truck Now Has A Permanent Location Inside Crosstown Concourse

The mobile stem bar was an instant success (seriously, have you seen anything cuter?), and after a few years of doing weekend pop-ups around town at different markets shopping centers, they were able to further expand the business and officially open their own gift shop inside of Crosstown Concourse earlier this year.

In addition to their stem bar, Mili’s Flowers & Gifts offers an eclectic mix of handmade dolls, sugar skulls, candles, handbags, mugs, children’s books and gifts, wooden toys, and other gifts sourced directly from Mexico. You can also pick up pre-made arrangements (both fresh and dried florals) or have them to design one for you.

Latina-owned Floral Shop In Memphis

Mili has such a sweet disposition and is so fun to talk to whenever I see her around with their truck or at her store. She’s so proud of her heritage, and it’s very inspiring to see her working with her family and friends in their Latina Power tees at events and sharing her culture with her customers.

While their retail space in Crosstown will be Mili’s central focus (especially during the Summer; they can’t bring the flower truck out if it’s too hot because the flowers will wilt), she will soon start to offer floral arrangement making classes and plans to continue having stem bar pop-ups with other local retailers around town as well.
