Redbirds to Host the Largest 901 Day Celebration at AutoZone Park

The Memphis Redbirds are taking over downtown's 901 Day Celebration with plans to make it the biggest event yet. Us Memphians know 901 Day is Sept. 1 is a day to celebrate what we all love about our city and all things 901. 901 Day falls on a Friday this year - woot!

Mempho Music Festival and Overton Park Shell are helping to host a free concert and plaza party prior to the Memphis Redbird's 7:05 p.m. game against the Gwinnett Stripers which will follow with a fireworks show set to Memphis music.

The concerts will kick off at 4 p.m. on the new Shell on Wheels stage featuring Lucky Seven Band and Black Cream. There will also be drinks, carnival-style games, and local vendors on site.

For 901 Day, we are teaming up with the Redbirds to gift four staycation packages featuring attractions and restaurants around the city. These are going to be good and you can expect them to go live each week beginning Monday, August 7. Stay tuned!!

901 T-Shirt Contest

Ahead of 901 Day, Memphians can submit a t-shirt design.  The winner will get to see their work worn around the city as the Redbirds will give a free t-shirt featuring the winning design to the first 1,500 fans at the 901 Day game. Fans can download the template and enter their designs at memphisredbirds.com/901day. The deadline for the t-shirt design contest is Friday, Aug. 11.

Companies wanting to reward their employees by celebrating together can purchase group tickets of ten or more starting at just $9.01.

For those wanting to hear more Memphis music, a dual ticket for the Redbirds game on Sept. 1 and Mempho Music Festival from Sept. 29 – Oct.1 is available for $90.
