The Wait Is Over: Raised By Sound 2025 Lineup is Here

Memphis, it’s time to mark your calendars. WYXR’s Raised By Sound Music Festival, presented by MEMPHO, is back on Saturday, December 6, 2025 for an unforgettable day of music.

What makes Raised By Sound so special? It’s WYXR’s way of connecting Memphians with the artists who’ve defined our culture, alongside fresh new sounds that are shaping the future.

Think: a full day of free live music throughout Crosstown Concourse, capped off with a ticketed headline fundraiser inside Crosstown Theater, and then a next-level after party that’ll keep the vibes alive late into the night.

Headline Events (Crosstown Theater)

Kurt Vile (7 PM) – Laid-back, magnetic, and endlessly relatable, Kurt makes every show feel like you’ve been invited into his living room. He sold out Memphis last time. Don’t miss this rare solo set.
Stephen Malkmus (7:40 PM) – A cornerstone of indie rock history, Malkmus’ Memphis ties run deep (Pavement’s Wowee Zowee was recorded here in ’94!). This will be his first solo Memphis show ever, and his first performance in the Bluff City since 1997. Historic.

After Party (East Atrium, 9–11 PM)

This one’s gonna be a full-on immersive trip: Larry Heard (aka Mr. Fingers), Kid Millions, and local faves Cloudland Canyon will join forces for a one-of-a-kind audio-visual set. Your ticket also includes complimentary food, drinks, art, and fashion pop-ups.

Free Daytime Music (Central & East Atriums)

The day kicks off with free performances — no ticket needed:
Blue Tom Revue – 1 PM (Central Atrium)
Deonna Sirod – 2:10 PM (Central Atrium)
Melinda – 3 PM (East Atrium)
Jake Xerxes Fussell – 3:55 PM (Central Atrium)
Jay Som – 5:30 PM (East Atrium)
