Downtown

Kellie’s Deli

One of the newer spots on the block, Kellie’s Deli opened in 2024 and quickly became a South Main staple. The menu features everything from hoagies to gyros to sliders and grilled cheese, as well as rotating daily specials. It’s cozy, casual, and full of Memphis heart.

Front Street Deli

A Memphis classic that was revived in 2022, Front Street Deli brings the classic deli vibe like no other. With only seating outside and a walkup counter, this spot reminds you of a New York spot on your favorite cop show. They have plenty of sides and classic subs to fill you up.

Memphis Chess Club

Chess-themed coffee shop? We got it! They also have sandwich options like a burger and a turkey club. Grab a sandwich, settle in with a coffee, and maybe play a game of chess while you’re at it.

Hive Bagel and Deli

Known for its homemade bagels, Hive bagel and Deli also has a ton of tasty sandwiches including a fancy grilled cheese and an Italian club. Hive also has catering options available so you can book for your next big event.

Southpoint Grocery

Located in the South Main Arts District, the Deli in Southpoint Grocery has a wide array of sandwich options including The Crackpot and The Grinder. They also have a wide selection of sides, dips and beverages to complete your sandwich meal. Stop by for a grocery run and stay for the tasty sandwiches. Medical District

Hard Times Deli

Hard Times Deli, owned by popular restaurateurs Harrison Downing, Schuyler O'Brien and Cole Jeanes, is the medical district's newest spot. With a selection of hot and cold sandwiches, there is something for everyone at Hard Times. My personal favorite is the Turkey Bacon Ranch and the Chopped Cheese. No matter what you choose, you can never go wrong with a Hard Times sandwich.

Midtown

Fino’s

Fino’s has been part deli, part Italian grocery, and part Memphis legend since 1990. It all started when former owner, Joann Johnson wanted to bring a taste of “The Hill” (St. Louis’ Italian district) to the Mid-South. Fino’s started out as mostly a grocery store and it quickly evolved into a grocery & deli with the addition of sandwiches and homemade desserts. Now known for crusty bread, imported Italian meats, house-made olive tapenades, and their signature tomato/onion marinated dressing, Fino’s remains a local favorite.

Crosstown Concourse is spoiled with tasty sandwiches all thanks to Mad Grocer Deli. Feast and Graze may be known for its amazing charcuterie boards, but they also serve some unique sandwiches. If you’re looking for something different for lunch, Feast and Graze is the place to go. My personal favorite is the Turkey, Fig, and Goat, featuring their signature hot honey goat dip. Not sure what to order? Their staff, true foodies themselves, are friendly and ready to help you find your perfect meal. You can find them in both East Memphis and at the Brooks Museum in Midtown.

If you’re in the gluten-free boat or prefer low-carb options like me, City Silo Table + Pantry offers choices that cater to all dietary preferences, including gluten-free, vegan, and carnivore-friendly dishes.
