Supporting local doesn’t have to stop at bars and restaurants; Memphis has plenty of incredible places to move your body and realign your mind. From heated Pilates classes to holistic movement experiences, these spots make it easy to slow down and feel recharged. 

Here’s my roundup of local places worth checking out for Pilates in Memphis.

Dose brings the heat both figuratively and literally. Dose specializes in hot Pilates and hot yoga, all in an infrared-heated space that makes you feel like you’re sweating out your entire to-do list. Classes are high energy but beginner-friendly, and they offer plenty of options whether you're in the mood to flow or need a good workout.  


Core Collective 

Located on Broad Avenue, Core Collective is a Pilates & alignment -based fitness studio. Their focus is on optimal alignment, incorporating the Pilates principles to create ease & efficiency in movement. They offer small group and private sessions in Pilates, yoga, and interval training. Located in Uptown, Memphis, Evolve Pilates Studio brings the heat with their specialized classes complete with reformers and multiple class options. Ballet Memphis 

You don’t have to be a dancer to get a fantastic workout at Ballet Memphis. They offer several ways to experience Pilates, whether it’s through mat classes, private sessions, or even instructor training. Their Pilates programming follows the STOTT PILATES method, often referred to as the “Ivy League” of Pilates education. They also host fun outdoor events like Pilates in the Park, which is exactly what it sounds like, and yes, it is a good time! 


Healing Point Wellness Center 

Healing Point is a holistic wellness center that blends therapeutic bodywork with mindful movement. While it’s not a traditional Pilates studio, they do offer Pilates sessions that support mobility, strength, and overall balance. Their services include massage therapy, myofascial therapy, and more. Grit Group Fitness 

New to Memphis, Grit Group Fitness offers 2 Pilates-based group fitness classes. Both are unique in names and structure. During ‘Shapes, ’ resistance bands and small weights are used to increase strength and stability. There is a big focus on strengthening glutes, balance, and stability. During ‘BodyBalance, ’ you will flow to great music through Tai Chi, sun salutations, standing strength, Pilates core work, and more. Both classes can be done by beginners to seasoned pros, and modifications are provided. You can find Grit Group Fitness and their unique take on group fitness in the University District.  


Mind/Body HAUS 

Located in Midtown, Mind/Body HAUS offers a wide variety of classes like hot Pilates, kettlebell sculpt, barre, and vinyasa. The studio features three beautiful spaces: a large infrared-heated room, a barre-equipped studio with LED lighting, and a small 10-person studio. You can also rent mats and towels and take more private classes here. Whether you're a Pilates warrior or are just getting started, these spots offer a variety of classes and instructors to help you find what you need.

 

The Well 

The Well is a brand-new infrared-heated Pilates and yoga studio located right outside of Memphis in Southaven, MS. Founded by native Memphian Lexi Grisanti, she opened the Well with a mission to support hormonal health, emotional wellness, and community connection. The Well is a space for healing and alignment and feels like an oasis from the outside world. Lexi offers a mix of hot sculpt, flow, and Pilates classes. Highly recommended for a relaxing and fun morning out with your girlfriends!
