Anyone that knows me, knows my love of craft beer. I love our beer community here in Memphis because not only is it full of so much potential to grow but the ones that are already doing it, are brewing up great beers.
This guide will cover all the latest brewery news, special beer releases, events, and deals. For a full list of Memphis breweries click here.

Upcoming Brewery Events
08/25-8/26, 8/30 - WISEACRE (BOTH LOCATIONS): This is a big one! The official 10 years of Wiseacre celebration is this weekend. On Friday, they'll release their 10th Anniversary beer (an 18.8% ABV 2 year port barrel aged barleywine) at the Broad Ave. taproom with a full celebration and music by The MD's. Music starts at 6 p.m.
The party moves downtown on Saturday to the HQ location. From 8-11PM they'll have a Draft Punk new wave rave with DJ Qemist. On Wednesday, brother founders Davin and Kellan will be bartending and playlist playing while serving Tiny Bombs and Anandas just like they were 10 years ago on WISEACRE's opening night. Tiny Bombs and Anandas will be $3 this night.
08/25 - SOUL AND SPIRITS: It's 80's night for Flashback Friday! Dress in 80's clothing and get 10% off your tab for the evening.
08/25 - CROSSTOWN BREWING: Release of Sweatfest Watermelon Gose Sour. Taproom opens at noon. Live DJ set from John Miller from Shangri-La Records at 5:00 followed by a Bring Your Own Records session on the turntable. Bring in your favorite vinyl and play a song for everyone. Head over to Shangri-La Records on Saturday for the official Sweatfest.
09/01 - GRIND CITY BREWING: Will be hosting a 901 Day celebration with a vendor market (5-8pm), live music, drink specials, and more.
09/16 - MEDDLESOME BREWING CO.: The return of fall = BURN THE WITCH Black Lager is back. Join them for a night of celebrating local metal music, delicious beer and good times with Deaf Revival and Burn The With. The show is FREE and ALL AGES.
09/30 - CROSSTOWN BREWING: They're hosting a Beer Can Chicken Cooking Contest. Grab your BBQ team and your tents, grills, spatulas, and forks! In conjunction with Memphis Brew Bus. Cash Prize! Judges will be on site to sample your best beer can chicken and choose the winner. Beer cans for cooking will be provided. To register your team, send an email to [email protected].
10/21 - WISEACRE (BROAD AVE): For WISEACRE's continued 10th Anniversary they are putting on a Beer And Music (BAM) Festival in collaboration with Mempho Presents to put together a Memphis Centric Music Festival featuring Lucero, Blitzen Trapper, Dead Soldiers, Psymon Spine, Kuroma & DJ Leroy along with live acts from the Stone Crush compilation of Memphis Modern Soul.
NEW BEER RELEASES
GRIND CITY BREWING + CROSSTOWN: Both have their takes on Oktoberfest back on tap. It may be hot but we can pretend it feels like fall.
COOPER HOUSE PROJECT: Guanajuato Cellar — Foeder-aged Light Mexican Lager 5.3% | 15 IBU.
MEDDLESOME: Tropical A.F. Drops A coconut milkshake IPA to close out summer.

Ghost River (South Main taproom) | Books On Tap 7-9 p.m. -- Book club where group members get 20% off their tabs during meetings. Last Thursday of every month
SATURDAY
Soul & Spirits | Low Tones Book Club 5-7 p.m. -- Not your average book club. They don't tell you what to read but instead give book lovers a quiet space to read, drink a beer, and chat with fellow readers. First Friday of every month
Ghost River (South Main taproom) | Plants and Pints 1-5 p.m. -- Plant swap where people can sell their plants, propagations, pots or any plant/gardening tools they are looking to get rid off for people to come and shop. Last Saturday of every month
Memphis Made | Pick Up For A Pint 12:30 p.m. -- Meet at the brewery to clean up the neighborhood. First beer is on Memphis Made!
